Another Invitation card

I found this card layout and cased it with some modifications of my own.. of course...and I also semi cased this idea of the dress on Stampin'Up's gorgeous Bride Specialty Paper... LOVE IT!!! I added all the embellies myself and the bling.. hope you like it!!
I used only one stamp set: Blissful Bride for all the stamping...

I think you can appreciate the effect of stamping on this designer paper... the ink does not stick to the swirls in it, so you still get the beautiful paper design subtly on the dress... I watercolored with the ink pad and a blender pen, then added two way glue an dazzling diamonds.. I love the effect...

here's the open view of the semi assembled card..

Thanks for looking.. for dimensions... stay tuned...I'll be back.

Teacher Appreciation week

I had so much fun making gifts for the teachers this week.. .here is my last gift for my daughter's Daycare... I found the notepads in the $1.00 bin at Joann's and the colors immediately caught my eye (hello??? Melon Mambo, Pixie pink, pretty in pink, choc chip only orange) I had to get them... add that I've been dying to make these cute little owls from Punches and viola!!! Just perfect!!

So, here are my playful little friends.... hope you like them!!

Punch Art Pretty Owls:

And here is how to make them:

And, then here are my 4 pals!!

Supplies:
All Punches Stampin'Up! unless otherwise noted:
Body:
112082 Wide Oval (need two.. one cut longer than the other for the backside... it'll be longer so as to be the tail and hold the paperclip)
Wings:
114889 Scallop Oval cut in half
Head:
112208 Curvy Label punch - scored down the middle and folded over
Feet:
116628 Snow flake punch.. you get lots of feet from this punch
Beak:
113694 Heart to Heart... used the smallest heart (this also serves as the back layer to the Itty bitty heart buttons from the Summer Mini Catalog...see below)
Eyes:
104390 1/2" circle punch for Whites
1/4" circle punch for pupils (used what I had)

Eyelashes:
From Summer Mini Catalog pg 11
118309 Itty Bitty shapes (punch pack... used the flower)

Sticky strip, dimensionals, 2way glue, dazzling diamonds for the ruffled belly.

Other:
Large paper clips.

Have fun creating!!

Oh, I forgot I wasn't done... so, I had to create a larger owl to scrap with... this pretty is 5 x 4 finished size... I substituted the punches in some cases for larger ones that SU has and Big Shot dies (all ovals, scallop oval for the body, top note die cut in half and then made a bit smaller to make the head smaller.  Used some sizzlits for eyelashes and again the same heart punch for beak... made some actual ruffles on the belly that is popped up on dimensionals and the feet are made with the modern label punch... WOO HOO... I'm on a rolla nd can't stop.

Hope you enjoyed my Owls.. I have to give credit to many demonstrators I borrowed some ideas from and expanded them to my liking!!  Yay for casing!!

Til next time...
Happy Stamping...

Purse invite... so much fun!

A friend of mine has me very busy with making little invites here and there, so I came up with this purse that has credit card slots for the directions and party info... What do you think?  I love it!!!  And I used the Elements of Style stamp set from the New Mini... Yeah!!!  I haven't decided on the flowers on the front yet, but they're there for now and the oval is a broche that will have a sentiment on it.. I just couldn't decide which one yet.

My Marbled Tripled Scoop!!

I'm Loving the new Summer Mini Catalog ... in case you haven't seen it... here is a taste of what's to come... I love Ice Cream just as much as my kids... and they love the marbled ones especially... so I figured... let's make a Marbled Triple scoop!!!  Yum!  I've made this for my Lots of Layers Swap that is due to swap out this week... I hope you like it and thanks for looking....

This is my Group of Cards... I love them.. just wanna eat the ice cream with the cherry on top!
